I’m Mike Lende, proud owner of Canada’s Health Coach.

Today, I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I was born and raised in York Mills, Toronto. My family and I still live nearby.

The best part of my work is witnessing my clients' successes! It’s so gratifying when my clients hit their short and long term targets. I love motivating people and introducing them to the new, ultimate version of themselves. I do this through a process where I get my clients to discover what they're capable of....things they never thought were possible! My clients experience a transformation where they lose weight, gain more energy, fell less stress and enjoy life to the fullest.

I started Canada’s Health Coach to help people become the best they can be! I have been a coach for over 20 years. Canada's Health Coach has been around as a one on one coaching program for over a year and is now proudly serving female clients too! Through one-on-one coaching; I help people with weight loss, stress management, gain confidence, sleep better, increase energy levels and mental acuity. I teach communications and time management as part of a holistic approach to improved wellness. I find that most people face the challenge of prioritizing their time for themselves and then preparing to succeed. I work with my clients to help them reorganize their priorities and align their schedules with their personal goals. We know that success is when preparation meets opportunity. I make sure the preparation is in place so that my clients succeed. Then I show them exactly where the opportunity in their lives lies.

My first responsibility is for my personal well-being. When I'm well; I can be there, for myself, my family and my clients. Everyone around me wins...Including me! Every day I wake up, eat properly and workout. Then I check-in with client and conduct personalized client sessions. Some days are longer than others but I make sure to make a lot of time for my family and friends.I enjoy my work as much as I enjoy my own free time. Helping people get results and become the best they can be, really is a passion.

The most important decisions I face are choosing and advising clients on their custom programs. I spend much time calculating and deciding on the optimal course of action for each individual client. I take into account all the prevailing factors including: age, medical condition, injuries, current fitness level, lifestyle choices, and their own personal aspirations for well-being.

The most important skills I bring to my work are compassion and motivation. It’s also essential that I listen, educate, and communicate well. This way, my client and I can be on the same page. It’s crucial for progress that we have a shared understanding of our objectives and the pathway to get there. I also believe it’s important to continue educating myself on the latest in health trends and research.

I attribute my success to building strong relationships and trust with my clients. When I have created this unique and special bond, they realize that the most amazing things are possible...and they do happen!

The most satisfying moment in my life was discovering that I can become the person I aspire to be. Having proved this to myself, now, I am helping others do the same!

I respect many folks and believe their values have helped shaped my leadership style and professional development. Roger Neilson was a successful NHL Coach because of his intellectual, creative and innovative approach. Clive Woodward led England to Rugby glory in 2003 because of his strategic preparation and applying business experience to coaching. Sir Richard Branson operated from the belief that he could do better than what he was finding out there in the marketplace. Sammy Davis Jr. defied all the odds to become the most versatile entertainer of our time. He showed us that even with the world against you; you can still win! Mohammad Ali taught us that winning is an everyday lifestyle choice … it’s about how you act, work, play, interact with others, your self-perception and self-dedication!

A company I admire is Webware! It’s an amazing example of how great teamwork can build something uniquely special. Their team and service allow small businesses to face the many challenges that arise in navigating the digital world. Their professional approach and tech-savvy support help us achieve our online goals. I also admire Canada's Health Magazine because of it's positive and practical messages on achieving good health.

Away from work, I love to spend time with my beautiful family and hang out with my friends. My wife, three children and two dogs mean the world to me. I spend most weekends and many evenings coaching youth hockey and baseball.

As your Health Coach and a mentor for youth sports, I believe in working toward good health for everyone! I support getting kids and adults alike active through fitness! The charities that I support include mental health causes, Movember for prostate cancer and 360Kids surrounding kids in crisis with care.

To become the best possible "you", I believe in: integrity, honesty, dedication, strong work ethic, kindness and compassion. I strive to bring these values to my work and home life every day.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I live, work and play.

If you, or someone you know, could benefit from my losing weight, gaining more energy, better sleep, less stress and overall more happiness, I invite you to get in touch.
